Established in August 2013, the Inter-Sector Working Group (ISWG) fosters synergies and complementarity between sectors involved in the Jordan refugee response. It minimizes duplication, facilitates the sharing of information and best practices, and bridges the gap between Sector Working Groups. Additionally, the ISWG ensures that cross-cutting issues, such as gender, protection, and resilience programming, are integrated into sector activities. The ISWG convenes on the first Wednesday of each month, bringing together Sector Coordinators, representatives of Civil Society Organizations, International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs), with the UNHCR Inter-Sector Coordinator serving as chair.
