    The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world. DRC fulfils its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs) and host communities in the conflict areas of the world; and by advocating on behalf of conflict-affected populations internationally on the basis of humanitarian principles and the Human Rights Declaration.

However, Local or national organisations differ in their capability, capability and approach in delivering such work. Darfur Development and Reconstruction Agency (DRA) is however, luckily entrusted with an immense level of accumulated knowledge and expertise and is ready to share it or put it to a good use. Within DRA, there are more than 25 members who have practical and professional experience of humanitarian and development work which was obtained from work both at the local and the international levels. These members, with their current level of expertise, are available for the organisation to plan, deliver and monitor such work.
