  Working Group Description

The WASH Working Group supports a coordinated response that ensures refugee access to water in sufficient quality and quantity, and access to quality sanitation services, while promoting improved personal and environmental hygiene. This includes the optimization of infrastructure design to further efficiency; the use of alternative water management models supporting host populations and refugees; the integration of solar powered pumping systems; the piloting of a community based management model; the expansion of sustainable sanitation waste to value solutions; strengthening household water storage capacity, and scaling partnerships with the Regional Water Bureau and the Regional Health Bureau for Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion.
